Come together as a pair will not have any screws or handles attached to these guards.
These are plain unfinished castings and will need some fettling.
The guard shown is one of the worst examples and needs the most work, however the one you receive (if it’s not this one) will still need work.
Such as sanding to a smooth finish for painting.
Realigning the guard hinge so it shuts without overlap.
